Dr. Attarzadeh is a Professor of ophthalmology at Ophthalmology Department of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Following his graduation from this University, he completed his residency at the Department of Ophthalmology.
He has been a fellow at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute (USA), the president of Khalili Hospital in Shiraz, director of Research at Ophthalmology Department of Shiraz University, and Postchi Hospital Research Center.
During his career he has also been the executive manager of Bimagostar eye center, supervisor of Fars Ophthalmologic Society and warden of Binagostar eye center.
He was a Resident and Fellow of Ophthalmology at John Hopkin University, Wilmer Institute and received fellowship of cornea and external eye disease from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences,
has received the American Board of Ophthalmology Certification, and fellowship of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr.attarzadeh is a member of Medical Council of Iran, Iranian Society of Ophthalmology, Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology, and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Throughout his research, , in addition to publishing over 24 research papers, he has supervised over 16 theses of medical students and residents at Shiraz and Shahid Beheshti Universities.
