As Associate Professor of radiology, Alireza Rasekhi leads Interventional Radiology at the Radiology Department of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and is the director of Postgraduate Training at this department. He also serves as the CEO of Faraparto Imaging and Interventional Center.

In 1998 he received the Distinguished Radiology Teacher’s Award in Medical School at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. He is a member of Iranian Radiological Association, Medical Council of The Islamic Republic of Iran, Iranian journal of organ transplantation, national board of radiology, and a member of organ transplantation group in Iran.

Dr. Rasekhi is highly experienced in Interventional Radiology including daily image-guided FNA and biopsies, drainage procedures, percutaneous nephrostomy, angiographic procedures, Interventional Bleeding Control, Interventional Vascular and Nonvascular Management of Post-transplantation Complications, Interventional Biliary works, bone and joint interventions, Interventional Oncology including transarterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency and microwave ablation. In addition, he is pioneer in establishment of the following procedures in Shiraz:
