Dr.Vahid Hosseini is a professor of General Surgery at Shiraz university of medical sciences. He has been the Advisor of chancellor of Shiraz university of medical sciences since 2009. Some of his credential include the following :

• Vice-chancellor of education of department of surgery (SUMS),Iran(1997-1999)
• Manager of Nemazee Hospital (SUMS),Iran(2001-2005)
• Manager of Ghotbeddin Hospital (SUMS),Shiraz,Iran (1997-1999)

• Manager of Moslemin Hospital , Shiraz, Iran(1993-1995)

Following his graduation from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences , he completed his residency at the General Surgery Department of this university .he then acquired the specialization in Surgery in Shiraz university of Medical Sciences(1993), and received a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery from the University of Sydney (Australia) afterwards.(2002)

Dr.Hosseini is the chief of Colorectal Research center in Iran, faculty member of Gastroenterohepatology Research Center, an associate member of the Iranian Colorectal Federation as well as Iranian College of Physicians. He also is Vice-chancellor of Iranian National Board of Surgery and member of European Society of Coloproctalogy, Board member of MMESA.

Above all,during his 25 years of practice , he has published more than 120 articles in highly cited medical and scientific journals around the world , and presented over 50 papers in international and local conferences.
